Weekly Update - Special Edition: New Years (And Family Death)


This week was very sad for me... My Uncle Jerry passed away on New Year's Day. It started off well, though. Tricity finished watching the Harry Potter movies, we stayed up late playing with her Dream Lite, and we brought in the new year. Then I showed how wiggly her tooth is getting, we did an "after Christmas haul", and then I found out about my Uncle's passing... I didn't get to go to the funeral. We finished off the week with going out to McDonald's, and Tricity did a Monster High Ghouls Alive unboxing with all three dolls!

Weekly Update - Special Edition: Merry Christmas!


It's about Frozen! And Christmas! But not a frozen Christmas! lol This week, Tricity did a Christmas makeup tutorial, she decorated sugar cookies with her cousins, we went out to eat for lunch on Christmas Eve, she made a gingerbread house, opened up a present early, made reindeer food, set out cookies and milk for Santa, we celebrated Christmas at our house, and at Grandma Cheryl's house, we went out to see the cutest movie ever, FROZEN! And she learned the awesomeness that is Harry Potter! Now let me ask you something... Do you wanna build a snowman? ;-) lol

This week, I show some of the bracelets that I made as Christmas presents for the Girl Scout troop, Tricity makes jello for the first time, she does a Barbie holiday makeup look, I get a package in the mail, Tricity does a RoseArt Extreme Airbrush Studio review, we look at Christmas lights, Tricity makes a gingerbread man video, preforms at a school Christmas show, has her Christmas party, learns about money management at Girl Scouts, and enjoys the last day of school for the rest of the year!

Weekend Update - The Most Fun Weekend Ever!



Tricity got to experience some really amazing things this week! There was so much to do! This week involved playing in the snow, Tricity showing me some of her favorite free Wii demos, our family playing Lord of the Rings Monopoly, playing around at the furniture store, learning about family tress in Girl Scouts, shopping and dining out, having pizza with Santa, going caroling at the nursing home, skating, and having Christmas at Grandma Vicky's house! What a fun-packed weekend we had.

Tricity Calls Santa!



Tricity called Santa last week. She said she was very nervous (I think she is worried that she has been bad), but that she was okay once she heard him on the phone. I don't know if the call is free or not, but I included a picture of the phone number at the end. Enjoy!

Putting Up the Christmas Tree, 2013



Tricity came home early from school because of the snow, so we put up the Christmas tree! What better way to celebrate a snow day than by getting into the holiday spirit? (Actually it took us all night and then we finished it the next day! lol)

Here were our steps to decorating our tree!
1. Make sure all lights work!
2. Put a strand of lights toward the inside of the tree.
3. Plug in the star.
4. Put on the second strand of lights.
5. Wrap the tree with garland.
6. MORE garland!
7. Add some beads.
8. Add MORE beads.
9. Even MORE beads!!!
10. Add jingly bows.
11. Put balls on the tree!
12. Put on candy canes. (Real ones are better!)
13. Add toy soldiers to help protect the tree.
14. Add all other ornaments.
15. Icicles add a lovely touch!
16. Put the tree skirt on last.
17. Put presents under the tree!!!

Missouri Ice Storm, 2013



Here's the footage I took of the ice storm that we had! I know it may not seem like a big deal to some people in colder regions, but for us, it was more snow and ice than we had seen in the past few years.

The Ice Storm Has Arrived!



Our ice storm began today. I got a clip of the start of it. I'll take video progress here and there through the evening, and until tomorrow, when it's supposed to be ice covered in snow. Let's hope everyone will be safe and okay!!! Right after filming this, the school called again and said school would dismiss instead at 12:30.

Weekend Update - The Ice Storm Cometh!



This week we had an ice storm! So while all of our other plans cancelled, I decided to make a video about spaghetti squash, we looked for Christmas decorations, we had a coat drive for Girl Scouts, we put up the Christmas tree, Tricity called Santa's hotline, she went outside to play, and she made brownies!
