Happy Work Anniversary to Me!

Well as of today, it's been SEVEN YEARS that I've had my job! That's quite a long time. Longer than I ever expected to have the same job, to be honest! lol I've had my ups and downs with this job, but I've stuck with it. How did I do that? I kept telling myself - they'll have to fire me before I'd ever quit! And I guess I must be an okay employee, because I'm STILL here :-)

When I started off, I had just gotten my hair cut short (to my ears), and Tricity was just eight months old. I never thought a hotel would hire me. I was willing to work ANYTHING, including housekeeping. I got applications from all three hotels in town, but when I went into Best Western, I actually knew the girl who was working at the front desk at the time. Her name was Ashley, and I had previously worked with her at WalMart, just a year or two before. We didn't know each other that well, but she thought I was pretty cool, and said she would give me a good reference. Henceforth, I was hired on!

I had a really awesome boss at the time, too. The hotel had three owners, and there was a lady named Jackie who was the manager of the hotel for them. Her, Ashley, and the other girl I worked with named Allison, and I were all like peas in a pod! Everything was laid back and easy... I LOVED my job! The hotel was fully staffed, too. There was a lobby person, a whole housekeeping staff, a maintenance man, and us office workers.

Just three months later, I'd be facing one of the scariest moments of my life, getting robbed and beaten at my job. I wanted to quit! I wanted to never, ever go back... I took the rest of the week off to recover, and I had to have my husband there with me every night that I worked for about two weeks. They got us self defense weapons after that night... My job sent me a vase of flowers, and I had to go to court for about two years over the whole robbery fiasco. Luckily, McDonald's wouldn't hire me, and my mom wouldn't let me quit my job at the hotel unless I got hired on somewhere else first. Why is that lucky? Because I would have lasted only three months, instead of seven years!

The hotel name changed from Best Western to Travelodge. Not long after that, the three owners sold the hotel, and all of my coworkers quit. We had some people from India buying the hotel and taking over, and I guess they didn't want to deal with that? Once again, I really didn't have the option to quit. Besides, I thought it would be neat to work for Indian people. It didn't matter to me where they were from, as long as they were nice.

And they WERE nice! My bosses names were Alex and Pinki. They changed the name to America's Best Value Inn. The only thing I didn't like was that they downsized the staff to just front desk workers and a housekeeping person, which meant I had to fold laundry every night, but I still got to keep my laptop with me, so I just watched movies while I folded. It was a good trade-off. They were very friendly, easy to get along with, and every holiday, they gave me money or presents so I knew they were thinking about me, and appreciated me as an employee. I also got to watch their babies growing up, as they had two babies during their stay there, and I still keep in touch on Facebook with Pinki. She's always been so sweet!

In August of 2011, I had to cut down from my full-time position to working just two days a week. Now I only work Friday and Saturday nights, so that way, someone is always home with Tricity. My husband wakes us up when he leaves for work. I get her ready for school in the mornings, see her off to the bus, and then I'm home when she gets out of school. He comes home after she does, and this way, someone is always at the house. On the weekends, he watches her. They get out late at night to take me to work, and they get up early in the morning to pick me up.

After a couple of years, my Indian bosses, too, decided to sell the hotel the family whom is now in charge. Now I work for my boss Rocky and his wife Priti, another Indian family. When Rocky took over, he renovated the entire hotel, and changed the name to Days Inn. It took a while getting used to the changes. Not the physical changes of the hotel, but the work dynamics. They did things a little different, and I hadn't known their personalities yet. I guess he was stressed a lot... But now I think he's pretty awesome, and I hardly get to see Priti, but she's nice, too.

Anyway, I figured I never really talk about my job, so I thought I would share some things about it since today is my anniversary. The only thing that sucks about it now-a-days, is that I don't get any kind of raise or any kind of reward for being there for so long. As far as I've been told, they only count my employment based on how long THEY have been there, and not how long I have been there. Even the minimum wage is going up, and I used to make fifty cents more than everyone else since I work the midnight shift, but now I'll be making the minimum. Maybe next year I'll get an increase if minimum wage goes up again?

Either way, it's an easy job, and I'm lucky I've been here this long. Growing up, this was my dream job, to be able to be on my computer all night and not have to do much. It still blows my mind that I've spent SEVEN years here! I'm thankful for the wonderful bosses that I've had, who have dealt with the days when I didn't feel like doing my job completely, or who have dealt with my sloppy handwriting, with the mistakes I  have made (which I know there have been a lot of), and whom have had patience with me all along the way. I've had terrible bosses before, so I know how patient my bosses here have been! We made it this far. Let's see if we can go for ten! ;-)

Two More Videos With Captions!

I've got ham and beans cooking right now, but that has nothing to do with this post! lol

I just wanted to drop a note and say that I've got two more videos with the captions done and completed. Yay! Now, even the hearing impaired can't escape our gooberness! lol

The first one is this one from July 9, 2012, where Tricity and I do an unboxing from Influenster:

And the second is a video from July 19, 2012, where Tricity draws a picture for you. Enjoy!

Crazy Face Mondays!

Yesterday, I posted a silly picture on Facebook and Instagram, and that gave me an idea to start a little segment that I'm going to call "Crazy Face Mondays" or #crazyfacemonday as far as hashtags go.

Every Monday, I'll post a picture of one of us with a crazy face. Usually me or Tricity since it's hard to get Adam to cooperate with something silly like that ;-) This week, since I just started it, I went ahead and put up two - one of me, and one of Tricity. Here they are, and I hope you enjoy this new idea that we had!

Now with Captions!

I'm slowly putting captions on my YouTube videos (it takes about 6 hours for a 10 minute video!), while also trying to get some newer videos made. So far, I just have two videos done, as far as captions go. They're both from July of 2012, when we first started, but I figured it was best to start with the oldest videos first.

I have our Introduction video:

And the video of Tricity putting on Monster High makeup.

New Show, New Laptop!

When I logged onto Facebook yesterday, my mom told me she has a new favorite show that I need to watch called Star Crossed. I never saw previews for it before, but it's a CW show, and I found an episode online. I watched it, and it was pretty good! I'm impressed. I can't wait to see what they do with the possibilities in this story. I had Adam watch it when he got home, too, and I think he might have liked it. I forgot to ask... But I know he watched it! lol

I have to say, I was too preoccupied with my new laptop that came in today! I wasn't expected it until a couple of more days! I'm getting used to it, so that's why this blog entry wasn't put up last night. I was trying to figure out the whole Windows 8 thing with the desktop thing. I think I've got it mostly figured out, now. Today? I'm just trying to get files transferred from Adam's computer to my computer. Then I can start making videos again. Tomorrow, his new phone is supposed to be in, so I'll finally have a phone again when I take over his old phone. Yay for me! No more waiting or fighting over the use of his phone to do my videos. I know I have two other cameras I can use, but the quality just isn't as good, and when you're a vlogger, you're picky about what cameras you use and how your videos look, you know? I mostly have my Christmas camera as a backup, and the newest one I just got is for selfies (because of the dual screen in front, which I use to see myself while I'm taping myself). I really need to get my eyebrows done if I want to keep using that one, though! lol

I got the standard things I usually use installed on my computer, like Yahoo messenger, Spotify, my bookmarks (like Facebook, Blogger, YouTube, etc), and I'm HOPING I can get the same photo editing software that I like to use on here, too, if it'll let me transfer it from Adam's computer to mine. As for the touch screen, I'm still used to using the touchpad or a mouse, so I haven't really used it much yet except fro when I need to scroll. Anyway, with that being said, I'm going to get busy, and I'll talk to you later! xoxox

Sick Day

I guess Sunday was too much of a stress for Tricity... She was acting better, but as of Monday morning, she's coughing and gagging again. I'm keeping her home for a sick day, so she has one more day to recover from this bronchitis and her ear infection. I doubt her ear infection bothers her much. It's the constant coughing that she's sick and tired of, and I don't blame her!

We slept most of the day, and she played on the 3DS and Wii until Adam finally came home. He was late getting home because he was helping Buddy move a few more things. I feel sorry for her, and I hope she gets to feeling better  :-( I need to send her to school tomorrow so she doesn't get in trouble for missing any more days (she already missed 3 days this quarter from being sick a couple of weeks back), so I really hope she's feeling better tomorrow!!!

New House for the Anders Family

On Sunday, after the Girl Scout World Thinking Day event that Tricity and I went to, we got to go see the new house that the Anders family is now currently renting. Adam and Buddy spent all day moving things and picking up some furniture all the way from Fredericktown, so when they finally were done for the night, Kandy invited us over for supper as a way to thank him for his help. We had friend chicken and tacos (KFC and Taco Bell! lol).

The whole time we were there, Tricity was going nuts. I had to keep telling her to settle down so she didn't get worked up, because every time she did, she would start coughing again. You know how it is with kids and a new home, though. All that floor... All that space to dance and run and just go crazy! She was going around and around the hallway, because it made a loop through the different rooms, and I couldn't help myself. I had to get up and chase her! :-D I also helped Kandy put sheets on the beds.

I LOVE their new place! I just hate that they have to pay so much for it, but it's very nice! I'm hoping we get to go over there more often to hang out, now that they're closer. And a HUGE thank you to anyone who has helped them out! There's still a lot that they need to get back on their feet (like furniture!), but at least now they have a home to live in. I feel bad that they have to rent, when they were used to owning a home before, but it's SOMEthing, you know?

Girl Scouts: World Thinking Day

Well Tricity seemed to be feeling a little better on Sunday, and she tried her hardest not to show that she was still sick. She was using cough drops, took her medicine without any arguments, and she wanted to go to her Girl Scout event so, so very badly! I didn't have the heart to keep her home, even though I knew she shouldn't be getting out. She ate chicken noodle soup, and was determined to make this day go as planned. How can you say no to such a determined little seven year old?

She laid down with me and we took a nap until it was time to get up and get ready. I only had about an hour and a half of sleep since getting off of work, but when the alarm went off, we got up and started getting dressed, and I got our hair done. I was just finishing my makeup, and she was getting on her coat and shoes, when Adam came home to take us to the troop leader's house. Then he would have to go help Buddy move (our friends whom he has always called his brother, so they are actually more like family to us!). He was going to be gone all day, making a long trip to pick up some furniture and stuff for their new house, since their old house burnt down, and people were donating things to them. However, right before we were going out the door, his phone chimed with a text message.

Sadly, it was the Girl Scout leader, who was informing us that all of her drivers were bailing on her, so there wouldn't be any room to give us a ride. Tricity was devastated. She started crying her eyes out, and I felt heartbroken for her. We THOUGHT that Adam would have felt sorry for his little girl, and would have taken her, but no... He said he already made a commitment to helping them move today, and that today was the only day they could do it. I'm sure that part was a lie (like they couldn't have picked up the furniture any other day?) but I know how he is when it comes to doing stuff with US. If it's for anyone else, he'll bend over backwards, but when it comes to us, it's like pulling teeth to get him to do anything. I hate to speak poorly of him this way, but he knows he's like this, and that's how he chooses to be.

Anyway, I told him that he could at least apologize. He said that it wasn't his fault, so why should he apologize? I told him that he could apologize for not taking her since her ride bailed. He COULD have some SYMPATHY for her, instead of yelling at her to stop crying. She was heartbroken. She wanted to go so badly! How could he not see that? I couldn't help but to start crying for her, as well. I hated to see her feelings get hurt like that. Adam was about to walk out the door and leave us there without even saying goodbye or without helping to cheer her up, when his phone went off again.

THANKFULLY one of the Girl Scout moms said she would be going, so there was room for us after all! The day was saved! Thank you SO MUCH to Winter's mom! :-D Adam took us over to the troop leader's house, and we all departed to go to Cape Girardeau for the event. It was held at the Eagle's Club, but I can't find any information on the event listed anywhere online... It was fun, though!

There were different tables set up all around the room in a circle, and each one had poster boards with information and pictures on different countries. Each troop that attended would represent a different country. Ours was Nicaragua, because one, our troop leader said there wasn't that many spaces left when she called to make the reservation, and two, it was perfect for our troop since that was where she had just taken a trip last year, with her church group. She had neat souvenirs, coins, and personal photos to share :-D

This was also our first time deal with SWAPs! All the girls went around to each country (table) and after they learned about that country, they picked up a SWAP (which is short for "Share With A Pal"). Most of them were just beads on a safety pin, with the colors that represented that country, and with the name of the country pinned on as well. Some of them were a little more crafty, such as the pipe-cleaner mummies, the Hong Kong bows of rice, and the cheese. I'll have to show you pictures when I get the video up!

They also got to try a different kind of food or drink that represented that country (if those troops brought anything like that). Even us parents got to sample things we hadn't tried before. Some of them were kind of plain or inaccurate, like hotdogs wrapped in crescent rolls for Egypt (they called them "mummy dogs"), or English Muffin sandwiches for England. Others were accurate, and neat to try! From India, they had REAL spicy Indian food! They looked like some kind of ball with green stuff inside that was hot. From another country, they also had fried plantains! I never tried them before, so I ate one. They tasted like fried potatoes! I was surprised. Tricity also tried a mango. She never had one before that we could remember.

It was completely not what I expected, but it was pretty awesome :-D I didn't know how it was going to be like, and I'm so glad I got to go! And I'm even MORE glad that Tricity got to experience it. She made me proud, trying things I didn't think she was going to try. She said she loved the fried plantains, though she said nothing beat the spaghetti from Italy! lol (Spaghetti is her FAVORITE!) I hope she learned something, as well.

With that being said, thanks for reading, and please follow us for more stories like this!

Tricity is Sick :-(

I feel so bad for my little Tricity... She's been sick for over a week now. We tried to pass it off as a cold, but Tuesday, she got an ear infection, and starting two days ago, she's been coughing and vomiting. When I get the video up, you'll see how she was just constantly coughing, not really getting a break in between. She said her back was hurting, and I told her it was from all the strain. Plus, she would cough so hard that it would make her gag, and she would puke...

We took her to the hospital last night, and they gave her cough medicine (which I was giving her children's mucinex, but I guess that wasn't the right stuff? The doctor said to try something with DM next time...) and they prescribed her an antibiotic for her ear, which he said would also take care of any respiratory problems. After taking the medicine, she got so drowsy, and her body finally calmed down. Then she fell asleep. I got video of her, and I'll put it up when everything calms down around here.

Today? She got another dose of medicine after waking up this morning, both the cough medicine and the antibiotics, and then she went to sleep with me since Adam had to work overtime today, and I had to get some sleep after just getting off of work. We slept until he came home. He ate, and then he wanted to lay down, so we all laid down together again. We got up for a couple of hours, and we asked her if she was hungry. She said yeah, but when we fixed her something, she just wasn't in the mood to eat. Then about an hour later, she threw up again, and went to sleep, curled up on Adam. So she has slept just about all day without eating... I feel so bad for her :-(

Now I'm at work, and on the way here, he asked her if she was feeling hungry yet. She said yeah, so he said he would stop and grab a burger for her. I just called to check in on them, and Adam said she ate it pretty fast, so it looks like her appetite may be coming back. I told him that he better lay something down on the bed tonight just to be sure, in case she pukes from having the burger. You never know... All she did earlier was drink water, and it came up... Plus after scarfing the burger down, her stomach might not be in the mood, you know what I mean?

I really hope she gets to feeling better... Tomorrow is supposed to be World Thinking Day for her Girl Scout troop, and they are going to Cape Girardeau to try all kinds of different foods from around the world, so I'm hoping she'll be well enough to go. I'd hate for her to have a horrible day there, or to miss out on it altogether. It sounds like a great experience for the girls! I'm just mostly worried about her... I know she must be feeling crummy :-(

Dream: Meeting P!nk at a Beach Party

ANOTHER dream about P!nk? What the heck? I guess typing out my other dream about having hair like hers the other day made me dream about her.

Anyway, in this dream, I was at a beach party. I know I had quite a few dreams before that, because we slept just about ALL day because Tricity has been sick, but this is the only one I can remember because it was right before I woke up. I forgot how I got to the beach party, or why I was there, but I was hanging out with all of these party people and celebrities in my dream.

I was sitting on a couch that was at the edge of a pavilion, toward the back, near a fire pit. The sun was going down, so it was a little dark, but still light enough for everyone to see (you know - that dusky-sunset look?), and they also had some colored party lights on. Some of the celebrities were hanging out with people, some were up dancing, some were cooking on the grills, and some, like P!nk, were in charge of the music. She was the DJ.

She decided to take a break and hang out with people, and to my surprise, she sat down by me! Not that she noticed me, I don't think, but it's more like - I happened to be sitting in the right spot at the right time. I know I was geeking out, thinking to myself, "Okay, Candice. Play it cool. Don't say or do the wrong things. This could be your big chance to make friends with a celebrity. She's completely awesome, and you want her to see value in you. Don't blow it!" lol

I don't remember what we talked about, but I tried not to say too much because I know how I can ramble when I get nervous and anxiety starts creeping in. Then again, I didn't want to say too little and make her think I was being a snob! She was sitting there, playing around with a synthesizer. After about 5 minutes of listening to her talk to the person on the other side, and playing around with the buttons, the other person decided to get up and do something else, leaving just me and her sitting there. I asked, "So can you teach me how to play the synthesizer?" She smiled and it looked like she laughed to herself. She just answered back, "You don't want to learn how to play the synthesizer."

She started to get up. I could tell she was leaving. I thought, "Great, you blew it! Now she's going to find someone who's not so needy to hang out with, who doesn't have to ask how to play instruments in order to hang out with her!". However, to my surprise and delight, she leaned close and said, "I don't even know how to play the synthesizer!" She winked, and then was gone.

Pretty cool dream. She didn't blow me off at all! She was just playing it cool. Even in my dreams, P!nk is the most awesome rock star that I know! :-D :-D :-D That's all I can really remember about the dream. I woke up in a good mood. I bet she's that awesome in reality, as well!

Old DeadJournal Entries (And Other Journals)

If you're following my feed here on Google+, you might see a bunch of old "DeadJournal" entries popping up. I back-dated them, so while they are showing up at the start of my blog here on Blogger (waaaaaaaaay back in the past), they're still showing up as new in the Google+ news feed.

I'm sorry if they're a pain in the butt, or if they are offensive in any way. You know how it is with teenagers... It's all about drama! lol  I'm just trying to copy any and all of my old journals into this journal, since this is my official journal that I will be using from now on. That includes the ones I wrote 10-15 years ago.

I'll be putting ALL of my journals and blogs on here, so you may see a lot of updates that are "a blast from the past". I'll be adding my deadjournals, my livejournal, my other blogs that I had on here, and even my handwritten journals that I find as I'm going through boxes of my old stuff. I figure The Multi Mom blog will be my master blog of all time! After all, The Multi Mom is about anything and everything in my life, and that includes the teenage me :-D

Just thought I would drop a note for anyone who might be wondering what the heck I've been doing! lol
As always - Enjoy!

Tax Time

Well it's that time of year, when we get our income tax. Though it's not a lot, we at least get SOMETHING back. Last night, we went out to eat at El Torero. It's a nice Mexican restaurant in town that Adam hardly takes us to because it usually costs around $35 to eat there for the three of us, which is way too much compared to other options that we have around here. It COULD be cheaper, but I always have to have the shrimp fajitas when we go. We also picked up a Disney Infinity! We've been wanting one since before it even came out in stores, and since Christmas was scant and scrappy this year, we owed it to ourselves ;-)

Adam is supposed to be getting a new car (or truck?) today. I don't know what he's getting yet... He said he's going right after work to get it, so we won't be with him. I just hope he bases it on price, and not looks! I DO know I'll be outside taping him when it's time to come home, though, so I can share the video about it :-D

Last night, I also ordered a computer, and he ordered a new phone. It's MY phone that broke, so I wanted to get another Nokia Lumia 920 since I LOVE this phone SO MUCH! But he said no... He said that instead, he would get himself a different phone, and I could have his, because he also had a Nokia Lumia 920. Instead, he'll just get a Nokia Lumia 520. A little bit less quality, but he doesn't really use his phone for much anyway. Not like I do! Mine is not only my phone, but it's my address book, birthday keeper, calendar, agenda, notebook, camera, camcorder, computer - everything! I got spoiled with this phone! lol

And I'm SO psyched about my new computer!!! I WANTED to get a PC so that I could have a sort of "work station" here at home to work at for my videos and stuff, but after thinking more about it, I think a laptop would be better. I had a laptop before, and I loved it, but I THOUGHT I would be getting an online job working for a call center. Unfortunately they wouldn't hire me, so that also helped in the decision to just get a laptop. That way, I can take it anywhere in the house and listen to music while doing dishes and stuff like that... PLUS it's a Windows 8 system, with 1 trilobite of storage, AND it's a TOUCH SCREEN! I'm so, so, so super excited :-D :-D :-D I'm really hoping that this gives me more time to work on videos, since I'll be able to take my computer to work again. I know I keep saying I'll get more videos up, and I'll do more of this, and more of that, but I've just not had luck with computers or cameras for the past year. PLEASE let this year go much better! lol

With the rest of our tax money, we need to take Tricity to get her eyes checked. She said she's having trouble seeing at school. I told the teacher, so the nurse tested her, and she said that Tricity is failing the eye exam. I know she'll have to have glasses... It's going to take some getting used to, and while I think it's pretty neat, I also know what a pain glasses can be. When she wears costumes, she'll be stuck having to wear glasses until she's old enough for contacts. When she's dancing around doing her crazy interpretive dances, she'll have to be careful not to send her glasses flying across the room! lol When she's swimming, she'll have to take off her glasses and not be able to see as well... It's kind of like - you think you're okay without glasses when you've never worn them before, but once you get them? You're stuck with them... Otherwise you can't see very well, and it drives you NUTS. Adam said he'll be getting his eyes checked, too. I think he looks so smart with glasses :-D He's never worn them before, but he has tried mine on, and I liked the way he looked in them. I wish I could find the picture to show you! He reminds me of Freud or something :-) So while glasses make a great accessory, they can also be an annoyance... We'll see how it goes. At least SHE is excited about it. She said she wants purple glasses ♥

Anyway, that's pretty much all that's going on for now. I thought I would update my journal since I can't really do any taping. Adam is still using my phone-to-be until his phone comes in hopefully within a week. Once I get my phone back, though, I'll be able to update Instagram more often, too. I was trying to do the whole "pictures of the day" thing, but I'd have to wait for him to get home, and then he sits here huffing and puffing while I'm on his phone, because he wants me to start supper, and it's just a big crabby mess to get into.

Take care, stay warm, and I'll talk to you later!

Dream: Yellow and Pink Spiky Hair

This dream happened early this morning... For some reason, I wanted my mom to cut my hair short. SUPER short... Like P!nk short. (I was skinny in my dream, too, which usually means I'm gaining weight in the real world, since my dreams are usually the opposite of what's going on.)

So here I was, with this super spiked haircut, and I decided that I wanted to bleach it blond, like P!nk. I mixed up the blue bleaching kit, and it was thick like jello. I start slathering it all over my head, and I can suddenly see my hair changing right before my eyes. It was SUPPOSED to turn into a whitish-blond, but since I always dye my hair red, it was more of an orange sherbet color.

I washed it clean and made up another batch. I thought - if I put ANOTHER bleach on it, then it would surely become white this time. I remember I kept getting interrupted by people here and there, but most of my dream was spent spreading on this bleach, which seemed to take FOREVER! I tried to concentrate on my hairline in the front and back, so that my roots toward my face and neck would mostly be bleached. After I washed it the second time, it was yellow! It looked pretty cool, though.

Then I grabbed a jar of "manic panic" that I happened to have around, in the shade of "pretty flamingo". I remembered watching this video from a girl called AmberKatelynBeale, where she said that if you didn't want your colors to bleed, to use conditioner on the parts you don't want colored. Something like that... So I grabbed the conditioner, and started working it into my scalp, so that only the tips of my spiked hair would be exposed. This way, the pink hair dye wouldn't cover my whole head, and I would end up with a cool "yellow spiky hair with pink tips" look.

I put the dye on, washed out my hair, and I looked awesome. Then I pretty much quit dreaming and woke up.

Tricity's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

This video is from 2011, but I wanted to get Tricity's Thanksgiving Feast posted before I posted the Thanksgiving Feast from this school year of my niece Khloe. So cute! Enjoy :-D

Dream: My Family is Made of Legos!

I had a dream the other night (Sunday night, Monday morning) about Legos... Not because they new Lego movie just came out. That really had nothing to do with it. It's because Tricity has gotten into Harry Potter recently, and she found the Harry Potter Lego game for years 1-4, and she's been constantly playing it, which means I've been having to help her, so I've been playing it, and I've started playing my own game on it, so I've been playing the game the most. And of course when you do something all day, it's in your dreams, too!

Usually when I dream, it's in 1st person point of view. USUALLY it is, but sometimes it's not. In this dream, I was watching everything happening like as if I were playing on the 3DS and watching me play the game or something... It was me, Tricity, and my niece Jolie. Little Lego me had to go around our Lego house and pick up Lego coins like you do in most Lego games. I think they call them tokens, but we all know they're coins... Anyway, the more coins I got, the more presents I was able to buy for the girls. That's all I was collecting coins for, was to buy them stuff.

That's all I really remember about the dream. It was just interesting to me because I've never dreamed I was a Lego person before! Cheers!

Here are the photos I put up for today. Enjoy! (Just click to enlarge.)

Yay! I got pictures of the day done today! I really needed to be reminded of this one after complaining recently about being sick... It could be worse!

Sometimes, when I need a boost, I'll fill a capsule with turmeric and take it. It's the miracle herb! I LOVE it, and I try to add it to my cooking when I can. Just be careful of the stains, though!

I thought this looked REALLY awesome! I know it's a bank, but it would also be awesome as just a display piece

And if you ask for help, then the response usually is, "I worked all day, what have you done?"

Snow and Cold!

As I've said on Facebook today - Sorry, no updates for yesterday or today. I finally got sick from all of this cold and snow we've been having! I've been resting up and taking medicine, and hopefully I'll get something done tomorrow. In other news, within the past week, Tricity has found out that she likes tuna, oatmeal, and rootbeer floats! Not together, of course lol I made creamy broccoli noodles with tuna, which she liked, then I made some apple cinnamon oatmeal, which she also liked, and then just yesterday, I made a rootbeer float, and she liked that, too! She doesn't like rootbeer soda, and she doesn't like drinking the soda with the melted ice cream at the end, but she likes eating the ice cream out of the float :-)

I was thinking tonight as I was making these updates, that I REALLY need to get back into journal writing! Tricity and I started journals at the start of the year, but with school, and the 200 math facts a night that she's been having, we haven't really had time to do journal writing at the end of the night. Of course I don't have any excuse not to write, but she hasn't been doing any writing... I was thinking of transcribing my journal entries here, though, and continuing to write here. Maybe not EVERY night, but at least every other night, or ever third night or so? Just a thought... :-)
